SEE YOU ON THE COURTS JULY 13-21, 2024

2024 Tournament Rules/Guidelines:

  • You must be available for weekends and some weekday evening play.

  • No matches can go later than Championship Sunday.

  • In the event of inclement weather on Championship Sunday, Matches will be played the next day in the evening.

  • All matches must play out the full deciding set, no super tiebreakers, no matter the division or round.

  • Match time/days will not be moved for other tournaments.

  • All Finals MUST be played at 9 or 11 A.M. (only exception if you make multiple finals) on Championship Sunday. Press comes out for the finals and needs to do interviews, get scores/names, and take video. Matches can no longer be spread out throughout the day.

  • Match times cannot be moved on the first weekend of play. There are too many players in this tournament and moving matches to different days leads to confusion for future rounds. We will try to be as accommodating as possible if you send us schedule needs PRIOR to the tournament. Please no more requests AFTER the tournament begins.

  • Water in the coolers are for Players Only. We have a very limited budget and try to raise as much money as we can. We love spectators and families coming out to watch matches but cannot afford water for them as well.

  • Be prepared to play in the heat! This tournament takes place in the middle of the summer. Matches will not be cancelled or postponed due to temperature.

  • Be prepared to be sent off the main site to an overflow site for at least the first weekend of play. Due to the size of the tournament all 17 Southington town courts will be used.

  • If you enter multiple divisions be prepared to play multiple matches in the same day (Never two matches in the same division in single day).

  • If you enter two singles divisions and make the finals in both. You will be required to play both on Championship Sunday.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your match. If you arrive late it will result in a default.

  • The Men's Singles A & B Championship matches only are Best of 5 Sets.

  • There are no line judges. Players call their own lines. Please be honest. If there is a dispute please respect the call.

  • Announce the score before every serve.

  • Most importantly: Please be patient. This is tennis, sometimes matches go long, no matter the schedule. Your match might not always start on time with limited court space.
